The lifestyle of modern day man is very busy and hence he finds the need to hire other people to do various parts of his daily routine, since he is unable to find time to do those tasks. For instance, in the olden days, people used to clean their houses themselves every single day. Occasionally they would hire an outsider to help in a thorough cleaning of the house and its premises.

In those days most of the population of the world remained healthy for a longer time. That is because they had the necessary exercise from these daily chores itself. A keyboard drawer brings about a solution for such problems. It is a movable tray made of wood or metal that is usually attached using metal sliding hinges to a table on which the computer is placed. It also helps to save space in the room in which the computer table is installed. This is because it acts like a drawer which can be pulled out only when needed for use.

A keyboard tray is a flat piece of platform that is attached externally to the top part of a computer table. It is usually made up of engineered wood and has metal attachments to fix to the table top in order to be able to hold the weight of not only the keyboard and mouse but also that of the arms of the person working on the keyboard.

The use of this kind of a tray which acts as an accessory to the computer table brings about comfort and convenience to the user. It can be also adjusted in various angles which lead to the aforesaid benefits. Ergonomically designed, this piece of add-on to the respective furniture can even be put to use while the user prefers to stand and work on the keyboard.

Some types of keyboard drawers also have a provision to place the mouse separately in a small tray that is a part of the original version, and which can be pushed in and pulled out of the actual keyboard holding tray. These mouse holders are also attached with sliding hinges within or below the original keyboard drawer.

Adjusting the keyboard trays to the required angles to ensure comfort in usage, the person using it can be ensured to work efficiently as he would be able to work faster as compared to a keyboard drawer which is fixed at a particular height and direction.
